They wandered through this magnificent corner ofthe Earth, sang its praises in poems, immortalised it on canvas - Franconian Switzerland. There is hardly any other stretch of countryside that holds so many contrasts within such a small area: soaring towers atop rocky cliffs, winding valkys, blossoming orchards, mysterious caverns. Unspoilt nature, sometimes from its endearing side, sometimes rather harsher, and worth a - urne ofdiscovery at any time of the year.
